洪厝埔村位于玉湖镇东北部，山地面积超过耕地，是一个以农业为主的村庄。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

村域面积2.6平方千米，耕地近602亩，山地2800亩。全村共379户、1610人，党员35人，资料年份未注明。[1][2]

2009年全村人均纯收入为5224元。[1]

村里开工建设过一套农村无动力厌氧生活污水处理工程，主要路段也装上了路灯。[2]

在广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中，洪厝埔村于2019年9月上榜。[1]

2024年政府工作报告称，上级已对洪厝埔村的美丽宜居示范项目完成验收。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明成化年间建村。新中国成立后属新和乡，作为自然村隶属其下；1959年划归新光大队，1984年又属新寮乡下辖，1986年设立洪厝埔村委会。[1]
