郑厝村位于玉湖镇西北部，206国道、汕梅高速公路与广梅汕铁路从村前绕过，交通便利，以种植业为主。[1]

全村耕地545亩，山坡地542亩，共384户、1792人，党支部有党员39名，资料年份未注明。全村以种植业为主。[1]
2009年村民人均年纯收入为5250元。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明成化年间建寨。新中国成立后为新和乡下辖的自然村，1959年属新和大队，1984年改属新寮乡，1986年成立郑厝村委会。[1]
