溢溪村是新亨镇下辖的行政村，村子处于沙堀溪与新西河干渠两道水系之间。全村人口约1900人、380户。村子原名狗肚，后因溪水环绕、水清见底而改名溢溪。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村子建于1760年（清乾隆二十五年）。村后山岭形似卧狗，故称狗肚，后因村西北溪水环绕、水清见底，改称溢溪。[2]

1959年，新岭矿场曾在此采锡。1961年，郑姓村民迁往莲池埔，另立一个自然村。1972年自成溢溪大队，1986年设村民委员会。[2][3]

经济与交通[edit]

村民以外出商贸和农业种植为主要收入。易全陶瓷厂及瓷泥厂落户镇内后，被列为镇里的重点企业，每年的工业产值有二千多万元。[2]

博雅地名网载荔枝种植约200亩，竹笋约350亩（年份未注）。2009年全村人均收入5401元。[1][2]

汕梅铁路、汕梅高速穿过村境，县道107线经村中。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，溢溪村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
