英花村是新亨镇东部的行政村，国道206贯穿全村，周边与锡场、桂岭、玉湖等地相接。村名取自村内两条小溪的名称首字，清康熙年间已有村落。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清康熙年间创村。1949年前后隶属锡场又中乡，1952年8月划入新亨镇新联乡，此后归坪铺乡。1983年改称新亨镇英花乡，1986年设村民委员会。[1][3]

人口与土地[edit]

博雅地名网载全村4128人、821户，耕地近400亩，山坡地100多亩。百度百科则载村域面积约1.3平方千米，户籍人口4571人，两处数字不一致，并列于此。[1][2][3]

经济[edit]

村子以商贸为主、农业为辅，重点发展蔬菜、水果等地方特色农业。1995年村里开始规划工业区，发展工业。2012年后，电商产业影响到村子，形成了电商氛围。[2][3]

2019年至2021年间，村内完成雨污分流、党建公园和新卫生站等美丽宜居村建设项目。[3]

荣誉[edit]

1999年，村获「全国文明建设先进村」称号。2019年9月，英花村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年4月，英花村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。2026年1月，村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，英花村三次列入淘宝村名单。[1][3]
