潭蔡村地处锡场镇西部，靠近榕江北河，历来是鱼米之乡。[1]

2020年9月、2021年10月、2022年10月，潭蔡村先后入选阿里研究院公布的淘宝村名单；2023年12月，该村被认定为「揭阳市2023年市级森林乡村」；2026年1月，村庄被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清朝时村地属蓝田都，1949年归蓝东区管辖。1955年以生产队的形式称作潭蔡村，1986年才设立村委会，延续至今。[1]

人居环境[edit]

村里以“四小园”建设为突破口推进人居环境整治。在村干部率先捐款的带动下，外出乡亲与本地村民纷纷出资，汇美农业生态园得以在废弃的晒谷埕上建成，投入约85万元。过去一年，全村建成“四小园”23个。[2]

村中另一项在建工程是幼儿园，计划总投资约1700万元，报道称施工中。[2]

乡村振兴[edit]

2026年计划中，潭蔡村的高标准农田要建成示范基地，以水稻、玉米种植为基础，并延伸到农产品深加工。[3]
