村庄坐落在锡场镇西部，南面紧靠榕江北河，206国道与广梅汕铁路从村境穿过。[1][3]

村里以食品生产为龙头，并发展食品机械制造，因此有“饼干之乡”的称呼。[1]

2020年9月、2021年10月、2022年10月，锡西村先后入选阿里研究院公布的淘宝村名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于清朝。此后辖属几经变化：民国时期归南东区，1949年归蓝东区，1957年归锡场乡，1958年归锡场公社，1983年归锡场区；1986年设锡西村委会，延续至今。[1]

经济与民生[edit]

百度百科称，2020年全村户籍人口为1.25万人上下，2023年村工农业总产值为35.11亿元。[3]

村里建有文化广场，配有敬老院、灯光球场和儿童活动区等设施。“十四五”期间，镇里新设锡西村“长者饭堂”和助餐点。[2][4]

百度百科称，锡西农贸市场计划于2025年建成，设110个摊位。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

藤吊岭是村内的避暑胜地。山上有古庙宝龙寺，山下有道观玉清宫，岭上另有八卦洞、仙脚迹和古跑马道等古迹。[2]
