东面村是玉滘镇的行政村，省道335线贯穿全村，交通便利。村内以陶瓷工业和农业为主要经济支柱。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子先于1950年归梅岗区，1952年改属梅东区。1956年划入玉滘乡，1958年转入云路乡，同年又并入梅岗公社。1961年回归玉滘公社，1963年再并入云路公社，1965年重新划回玉滘公社。1983年改隶玉滘区，1986年从原辖区中析出，设立东面村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

2008年，全村人均收入为4715元，工农业总产值合计9440万元。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2006年，村党总支被中共揭东县委评为「固本强基先进基层党组织」。2019年9月，村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年4月，村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
