玉滘镇是广东省揭阳市揭东区东部的镇，东侧与潮州市潮安县风塘镇毗邻，西与云路镇接壤。揭东区人民政府网站与维基百科称该镇为玉滘镇。[1][2][6]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属梅岗都，隶揭阳县。明初有谢姓人至此经商，居于大滘桥西侧，地方原名大滘，后雅称玉滘。[1][3]

民国时期属第四区，1950年归梅岗区。1956年至1957年间设乡，1961年设公社，1982年改设区公所，1987年改设镇政府。[1][3]

1991年12月隶属揭东县。1999年揭东县辖15镇，玉滘镇为其中之一，2000年第五次全国人口普查时该镇人口为53509人。2006年2月，揭东县辖1个街道、14个镇，玉滘镇仍在其中。2012年12月揭东县撤销，设揭东区。[1][5]

2016年6月，该镇被划入榕城区管辖；2020年5月，经民政部门批复，又由榕城区划回揭东区。[2] 揭东区人民政府网站2026年发布的行政区域介绍，列出的11个镇中有玉滘镇。[6]

2024年3月，该镇被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇境位于揭东区东部，地处揭东县东北部。境内的大脊岭属莲花山余脉，在半洋村北侧，岭脊一带以潮安县为界，主峰高273米。[1][8]

省道335线横贯全境，广梅汕铁路穿境而过并设有玉窖火车站；枫江流经镇域，沿江可直达汕头港出海。[4]

人口与经济[edit]

2018年户籍人口为58047人，第七次全国人口普查结果为5.06万人。同年，全镇有工业企业52个，其中规模以上企业31个。[1][3]

广梅汕铁路北侧规划有揭东陶瓷科技园，占地3500亩，承接潮州陶瓷业向本镇转移。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

郑大进府位于玉滘镇山美村，是清代直隶总督郑大进的府邸和故居。宅院分为两部分，明代所建的旧府，以及乾隆年间营建的新府。百度百科称其为广东省文物保护单位，维基百科则作揭东区文物保护单位，1990年公布。[7][12]

梅岗书院始建于明代，原址在梅岗山南麓。清乾隆二十年（1755年）重修，1874年扩建为三进院落，书院曾培育郑大进、翁万达等人。20世纪70年代原址改作民居，现仅存石匾和《梅岗书院记》碑。[10]

大脊岭曾为抗日战场。汕头、潮州于1939年6月陆续失守后，国民革命军在岭上设防，1940年至1943年间在此阻击日军西进，1943年守军全员牺牲。遗址于2014年开始修整，修复后的大脊岭抗战纪念公园于2015年开放。[8]

半洋村境内有腾龙寺，为古寺。[11]

著名人物[edit]

郑大进（1709年至1782年）生于山美村，清乾隆年间仕途做到直隶总督，并获加授太子少傅，去世后得谥号勤恪。主要著作有《正定府志》《爱日堂诗文集》。[9]
