云七村在揭东县城东侧，距县城四千米；省道335线穿村而过，东侧邻玉滘镇，西侧邻曲溪镇。[1]

村名旧称「云路」，明朝嘉靖年间创村时即称此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年属梅岗区。1957年设大队，隶属云路公社，1961年仍属该公社。1982年分成寨内、寨外、东林、田下、红山头五个经济联合社，1986年合并设立村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
