浦东村位于广东省揭阳市揭东区磐东街道西南面，揭陆公路穿村而过，通往霖磐高速的出入口即在附近，村内以五金生产和塑料制品加工为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村中李姓先祖原籍福建莆田，清康熙年间，因抗拒刘进忠的进攻，寨子被攻陷，兄弟二人逃到此地定居并创寨。村落初时三面环水，因此得名浦东。[1]

此地在民国时期隶属揭阳县磐溪都；1949年以后一度称磐东区浦东乡，1960年改为磐东公社浦东大队。1983年改称磐东区浦东乡，1986年设立村委会，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

2009年，村民人均年收入为4160元。[1]

文化[edit]

村庄列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，时间为2019年9月。[1]
