历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身是磐东居委会，设立于1986年，此后名称未再更改。[1]

经济[edit]

辖区内设有榕西农贸市场与揭阳市五金电器市场，揭陆公路穿越社区，往来较为便利。[1]

文化[edit]

社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，时间为2019年9月。[1]
