龙砂村位于揭东经济开发区的中心地带，在国道206线东侧，省道324线贯穿全境。村庄创于元朝末年，村域面积0.697平方千米，以商铺和个体经营为主要收入来源。[1]

龙砂古庙[edit]

村西面有龙砂古庙，始建于元末明初。相传清初有吕李二仙云游至此，为乡民除去妖害。清雍正六年（1728年）重修时，庙宇改为伯府、吕李祖师庙，就是现在的龙砂古庙。全庙占地1.73亩，经多次扩建修葺。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2009年，揭东县体育局授予龙砂村「群众体育工作先进集体」称号。2021年，龙砂村为省级美丽乡村示范村，并随大港溪「灯杆彩凤，积厚流光」精品路线入选第二届广东十大美丽乡村评比。[1][2]
