旧坑村位于曲溪街道中部城区，在国道206线与金溪大道之间，交通便利。村民约2000多人，村域土地大部分已征用于县城建设，居民多经营商铺或在周边工厂务工。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清朝末年称旧坑尾。1986年成立旧坑村委会，沿用至今。[1]

经济与社会[edit]

村内有一座大型肉菜市场，交易活跃，但村集体收入有限，市场每年收益约四万多元（博雅地名网所载，年份未注）。村里投资近500万元建设文化广场，配有戏台、篮球场和绿化带，并修缮了广场旁的老伯公寺庙。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，旧坑村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
