双港社区即双港村，属地都镇，村中土地约1390亩，有村民5358人、1150户。[1]

人口与生计[edit]

全村共有党员118人（未注明年份）。村委会鼓励村民外出经商、打工，留村者多从事养殖及浅海捕捞。[1][2]

基础设施[edit]

村二委领导外出走访乡贤和有识之士，募得资金30多万元，修成了长7.8公里、宽6米的新村道，并为村道与居住区安装照明路灯、砌筑石篱护路。2009年，村里投资300万元建设水改工程，解决了村民饮水安全问题。[1]

荣誉[edit]

1996至2006年，双港村多次被评为揭东文明单位；2006年获得固本强基先进基层党组织称号；2007年被评为和谐文明村。[1] 2019年9月，双港社区上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1] 2024年3月，双港社区获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
