地名由来[edit]
人口与耕地[edit]
村域1.36平方千米，居民3028人、672户（未注明年份）。耕地685亩，其余均为水域。[1][3]
经济[edit]
村民收入以农业、渔业和石材加工为主，村集体经济较为薄弱。[1] 村里近年大力发展海水养殖业，新建了大莲小学，并完成环村水泥村道和电改工程。[1][2]
2025年2月，榕城区在村庄分类调整中将大莲村划为「一般发展类村」。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，大莲社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。[1] 2024年3月，大莲社区获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
