名称与地理[edit]
村子所在处古称狮象把海口之狮，今以狮头山为自然地理标志。村子地处榕江下游江海交汇水域，水陆交通便利。[2][3]
物产[edit]
青屿蟹产于此地，因咸淡水交替的环境，蟹肉鲜甜，在粤东一带知名。[3] 村里以狮子山文化为主题推进新农村建设，成立了星光老年之家，并配备了一批乐器。[1]
经济[edit]
2006年的统计显示，村中产值2060万元，村民平均所得4409元，集体收入195万元。[1][3] 村里曾引进汕头四家企业落户，村中约有500人从事二、三产业。村集体每年还投入资金用于平安村建设。[1][3]
社会保障与教育[edit]
自1978年起，村里为每位村民全额购买医疗保险，并长期承担小学生学费；考入重点中学、中专技校和大专院校的学生，村里都给予奖励。[1]
