乌美社区即乌美村，地处揭阳、汕头、潮州三市交界，背靠桑浦山中段，前临榕江。村内保存有明代郑氏始祖祠等古建筑。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村落的始建年代，两种来源说法不同：百度百科称始建于晋代；地都镇政府网站则载，邹堂乡始创于南宋，乌美是其中的一个村。[3][5]

古建筑与人物[edit]

村中的郑氏始祖祠，俗称「始祖祠」，建于明隆庆二年（1568年），是郑旻告假回乡时主持修建的。郑旻是明代进士。[1]

百度百科载，村内现存明代郑氏始祖祠、清代「科第世家」牌坊及30余座传统民居，四合院式建筑群保存较为完整。[3]

经济[edit]

村民以农业、渔业为主，兰花种植也有二十余年的基础；近年有龙科兰花基地落户投产，扩大了种植规模。[4] 村内另有石板、制衣、食品等工业企业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年3月，乌美社区入选第六批广东省古村落名单。[1] 2023年11月，入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。[1] 乌美社区于2024年1月获认定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1] 2024年3月，乌美社区获评「2023年广东省卫生村」；2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
