军民社区即军民村，旧称蕉山乡，位于地都镇最东部，三面环山，处于揭阳、汕头、潮州三市交汇处，属揭阳市老苏区。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

百度百科称村落始建于宋代。[3] 大革命与土地革命时期，村里涌现了一批革命烈士，其中有1935年任潮澄揭县委书记的陈圆圆，以及陈召凤。[1][3] 1931年，桑浦山游击队在此成立工农会，相关旧址至今尚存。[3]

经济[edit]

村子以农业为主，山林约7500亩，耕地约2500亩，渔池约300亩。[1][2] 花卉苗木的种植户有数家，以铁冬青、秋枫树为主；食品包装的家庭作坊则有数十家。[3]

荣誉[edit]

揭阳市在2009年授予军民社区居委会文明单位的称号。[1] 2024年3月，军民社区获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
