社区南面与渔江社区相邻，北面毗邻仁和工业园，西面则连接西林工业区。进贤门大道自社区内穿过，交通便捷，辐射面较广。[1]

社区总人口2586人，党员82人（未注年份）。整个行政村由东洪、南洪和和李三个自然村组成。居民多以香蕉种植和外出务工为生。[1]

文化[edit]

博雅地名网引《潮州市戏剧志》，称纸影戏由皮影演变而来，始于宋末。早期以牛、羊皮做屏幕，后来人偶改用稻草、纸、木与泥制作，在幕前表演。社区现仍有20多位艺人组成一个戏班，活跃于潮汕地区。[1]
