新林社区是东阳街道下辖的社区，北边依傍新城大道，南边靠近环市北路，全社区面积552亩。[1][2]

地理环境与设施[edit]

社区的主干道与206国道、蓝田大道相连，交通便捷。道路已全面水泥硬化，配套路灯，各主道、围、巷以及排污、排洪沟基本建成。户户通电、通水、通电视、通电话，80%的村民住进新房。[2]

社区规划兴建活动中心，并依托寨前池改造工程，建设社区文化公园「仙春园」。[2][3]

经济与治安[edit]

社区经济主要依靠租金收入，村民以经商、务工为主，社区年人均收入四千多元。社区招商引资，已有20家企业落户，其中规模以上的鞋业企业有「宏兴隆鞋业有限公司」「陶塑鞋业有限公司」「明丰鞋业有限公司」「思迪嘉鞋业有限公司」，产业以塑料制品加工为支柱。[2]

社区挑选9人组成治调队伍，轮班巡逻，并在主要路段安装治安视频监控。[2]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
