营前社区是东阳街道下辖的社区，位于黄歧山森林公园西侧，傍山而建，与东山社区、尖石社区相邻，并靠近揭阳火车站和206国道。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区已有几百年历史。社区内马、黄、陈三姓聚居，共200多户；人口约1125人，土地总面积450亩。[1][2]

经济与基础设施[edit]

社区的收入主要来自土地租金，村民生计多靠外出务工。社区二委带领改善面貌：道路铺成水泥面，添置路灯与监控摄像，设置垃圾转运点，埋设排污管，修建公厕，并翻修了活动中心。社区还引入一所民办公助的「岐山中学」。[2]

社区另设教育奖励金，建好老人活动中心，推进新型农村合作医疗。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社区上榜2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
