潮下村位于梅云东北部，在榕江之滨、紫峰山下。[1]村子以不锈钢制品产业为主，并利用省道主干道的位置发展商贸。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年村中设农会，隶属安乐区山东乡；1956年归五屿乡管辖。[1]1958年改为生产队，归五屿管区；1959年4月起属五屿生产大队；1961年划入梅云公社五屿大队。[1]

1972年，五屿拆分，村子另立潮下大队；1983年归梅云区五屿乡管辖；1986年有了潮下村委会；2003年成立潮下居委会，归梅云街道，此后沿用。[1]

经济[edit]

村中居民共1208人，人均年纯收入4650元（博雅地名网所载，年份未注）。[1]

村里规划时对原有的中心村做了修缮，并将不锈钢制品工业区扩建，同时完善配套管理与服务，促进商贸发展。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，潮下村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]2021年10月与2022年10月，村子两次列入淘宝村名单；广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予潮下村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
