奎地村位于榕江南岸，创村于明代，村中有奎光里、潮南里、磐南里、德阳里等古民居。[1][2]村名的来历是：寨前涂溪中有一小洲，形状如龟，原名龟地，后雅称奎地。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子史属盘溪都潮南乡。[2]1950年村中设农会，划入安乐区山东乡；1956年归五屿乡管辖。[1]

1958年改为生产大队，归五屿管区；1959年4月起属五屿生产大队；1961年划入梅云公社五屿大队。[1]1972年五屿拆分，村子另立奎地大队；1983年归梅云区五屿乡；1986年设奎地村委会，归梅云街道。[1]

地理环境[edit]

古寨奎光里三面环水，寨前的涂溪中有小洲，形如龟状。[2]

经济[edit]

村中耕地100多亩，人口2457人，共498户，农民人均纯收入4385元（博雅地名网所载，年份未注）。[1]

文化[edit]

村中有奎地小学，乡贤曾捐资为学校配置多媒体语言电教室，并设立奖学基金。[2]村子先后获市、区评为尊师重教先进单位，党支部连年获评先进基层党组织，并被区综治委评为平安村示范点。[2]

2022年10月，奎地村列入淘宝村名单；2023年4月，村子列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
