夏桥村位于榕城区南部，紫峰山北面，吉荣路与紫云路穿境而过。[1]村子的经济支柱是不锈钢、五金和塑料制品业。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期村子属厚安乡。[1]1950年村中设农会，划入安乐区山南乡；1956年归五屿乡管辖。[1]1958年改为生产队，归山南管区；1959年4月起属山南生产大队。[1]

1961年划入梅云公社山南大队；1970年拆分山南，村子另立夏桥大队；1983年归梅云区山西乡；1986年设夏桥村委会，归梅云街道。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有大小企业四十多家，工业发展势头良好；村内山林1050亩，近年兴起了花卉苗木种植（博雅地名网所载，年份未注）。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

紫峰山一带风景秀丽，真武湖碧水环绕，湖畔还有名家石刻。[1]

2019年9月，夏桥村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年10月与2022年10月，村子两次列入淘宝村名单；广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予夏桥村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
