历史沿革[edit]
1958年村中设立云光高级农业社，隶属安乐乡；同年12月改为生产队，归云光管区。[1]
1959年4月起属云光生产大队，1961年划入梅云公社云光大队。[1]1983年村子归梅云区梅畔乡管辖；1986年设云光村委会，归梅云街道。[1]
经济[edit]
村里有山地50亩，主要种植水稻、蕃薯、香蕉和蔬菜。[1]改革开放后，鞋类、五金、化工的生产与加工得到较大发展，村民多从事猪皮、肉鸭等食品加工。[1]2008年，居民人均收入为4980元。[1]
文化[edit]
广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予云光村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
