厚洋村位于梅云街道西北端，与普宁南溪交界，村内的名胜有石马山、彭园、深港与天后圣母宫。[1][2]村子由5个经联社组成，经济以种植业和养殖业为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年村中组建农民协会，归安乐区管辖；1950年5月改划入山西乡，仍归安乐区。[1]1953年至1956年间村子划归梅云乡；至1958年，又改归山西管区。[1]

1961年，梅云公社设厚洋大队；1983年改称梅云区厚洋乡；1986年有了厚洋村委会，归梅云街道。[1]

经济[edit]

村中十多家大中型企业生产空调设备、服装、五金、鞋业与纸业产品，其中有「广东吉荣空调设备公司」、美臣、柯顿、德利达等。[2]

据博雅地名网，村子2008年的人均纯收入为3914元，农民收入达2947万元，工农业总产值为4875万元。[1]

文化[edit]

厚洋学校、厚洋幼儿园、厚洋市场先后兴建，长善大道与吉荣大桥也已建成，河岸堤围得到修缮。[2]厚洋社区于2007年成为市级新农村示范点。[2]

2020年9月，村子入选阿里研究院公布的「2020年淘宝村」；2021年10月与2022年10月，村子再次列入淘宝村名单。[1]广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予厚洋村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
