群英村位于梅云街道西部，村集体收入不多，村里规划发展鱼藤药材种植。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年村中设农会，划入安乐区山南乡，1956年归五屿乡管辖。[1]1958年初，村中组建群英农业高级合作社，隶属安乐乡。[1]

同年12月改为生产大队，归山西管区；1959年4月另归山西生产大队。[1]1961年4月划入梅云公社石寮大队，1970年又成为双寮大队的一部分。[1]

1972年双寮拆分，村子另立群英大队；1983年隶属梅云区石头乡；1986年设群英村委会，归梅云街道。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有1567人、330户，党员30人，耕地400亩，人均耕地0.256亩（博雅地名网所载，年份未注）。[1]

村里拟规划四个片区：小型手工业区、规模工业区、农业保护区和第三产业专用区。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，群英村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予群英村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
