后畔乡村位于榕东街道南部，在莲花大道南段一带，明代称后寮李，1993年随榕东街道设立，成为独立的行政村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，此地称后寮李。清嘉庆年间，魏姓人家迁入，此后形成以魏姓为主的聚落。1941年改名为后畔乡。[2]

据百度百科，此村于1993年随榕东街道的设立而成为独立的行政村。[2]

2020年代初，村里启动「三旧改造」，开发了榕东丽景住宅项目。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网所载村中人口为420人（年份未注明），面积约150亩，集体年收入约15万元，村民人均年收入5300元。[1]

百度百科则称户籍人口为400余人，统计截至2024年。居民以玩具、服装和布匹贸易为主，有商铺70多家，工商企业18家，其中3家达到规模以上。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，后畔乡村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。后畔乡村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
