马牙社区是东兴街道下辖的社区，位于揭阳市区中心。社区1994年成立马牙居委会，2020年拆分后形成现在的范围。[1]

社区内商贸活跃，广州百货与马牙市场都在辖区之内，马牙大道和仁义路沿街的商业，博雅地名网称其为市区最繁华的商贸地段。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1994年，马牙居委会设立。因城市扩容和创文创卫工作的需要，2020年此处原有范围经过拆分，现在的社区以仁义路中线为东界，以新阳路中线为北界，西面和南面临榕江北河。[1]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会把「2022年广东省卫生村」称号授予马牙社区。[1]

据博雅地名网，社区曾获省、市、区的多项荣誉，包括六好社区与文明社区，未注年份。[1]

辖区内有广州百货和马牙市场，市场经营五金日用品与服装销售，与沿街商铺连成一片。[1]

辖区内设市第一中学，另有实验中学与实验小学；医疗机构有慈云医院与安真医院等。[1]
