北市社区原为广东省揭阳市榕城区西马街道下辖的社区，位于西马街道东北部，东至南北滘，北至榕江北河[1]。2025年随西马街道并入进贤门街道[2]。社区内有丁日昌纪念馆，丁日昌旧居又称丁氏光禄公祠[1][3]。

社区面积约0.5平方公里，居民小组有14个，片区则为北市、堡城与陈厝池[1]。博雅地名网所载人口7653人，户数约1750，未注统计年份[1]。

文物与古迹[edit]

丁日昌纪念馆位于元鼎路丁府，即丁日昌旧居。该旧居建于清光绪四年（1878年）起，1998年揭阳市人民政府批准将其改辟为纪念馆，1999年开放[3]。截至2021年末，馆藏1846件（套），珍贵文物6件（套）[3]。榕城区的概况把丁氏光禄公祠列为全国重点文物保护单位，与古榕武庙、揭阳学宫、揭阳城隍庙同列[4]。

社区内的五金打铜街是一条特色商业街，工商业户较多，内河穿过全境[1]。

历史与荣誉[edit]

1992年，北市居委会成立[1]。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予社区「2022年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。
