辖区内有绿茵花园、榕辉苑、碧水园、海棠花园等住宅小区。东湖路、望江北路与进贤门大道在辖区内交会，东湖公园也在辖区内。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，兴东社区上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
