进东社区是榕华街道下辖的社区，位于榕城区东北部，东西两侧分别与东湖路、同心路相接。社区居委会1992年成立，2020年北部划出江南社区。[1]
辖区概况[edit]
辖区内有同心路、东湖路、进兴路等主干道，设有金融机构、学校和幼儿园，周边有金凤园、中阳花园、丹桂园等住宅小区，并有超市、农贸市场和医院等便民设施。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]
居委会因设在进东一带而得名。1992年成立进东居委会，2020年在进东、进安两居委会北部设立江南社区，此后进东社区北抵椟松路，南抵进贤门大道，东西分别以东湖路与同心路为界。[1]
荣誉[edit]
广东省爱卫会在2023年5月把「2022年广东省卫生村」称号授予该社区。[1]
