地名由来[edit]

社区名称源自汫洲北部虎头山西侧的一条大港：先民在港的西侧创建村落，遂以此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年为饶平县第九区的港西乡；1958年设大队；1983年改办事处；1986年改居委会；1990年为街道管理办事处；1999年再称居委会，今仍沿用。[2]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，港西社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
