大埕镇位于广东省潮州市饶平县东南部，地处广东省最东端。东与福建省诏安县接壤，南面临海，即南海大埕湾，西邻所城镇，镇人民政府距县城约20千米。1986年11月，大埕由东界区划出，设为镇，下辖7个行政村。镇内的鸿程大庙是饶平县重点文物保护单位，镇南的大埕湾沿岸辟有滨海旅游区。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
这一带在明清两代归饶平县宜化都管辖，地名叫大埕栅。[1] 民国三十七年（1948年）时它隶属东界区；到1951年8月，又改由第十区（东界）管辖。[3] 1956年末此地仍属东界区，当时名为大埕乡；此后至1958年9月，大埕并到东界公社之下。1983年11月它又回到东界区。[3] 1986年11月，大埕由东界区划出，正式设镇。[1][3]
镇名的来历，博雅地名网的说法是：镇子濒临大海，前面有一处湾埕，以湾名为镇名。[3] 大埕亦称鸿程，博雅地名网说当地过去以乡贤众多而著称。[3][4]
荣誉方面，2024年3月，大埕镇被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[3]

镇域北依大幕山，南临南海，地处广阔平坦的大埕半岛。博雅地名网记面积约32.5平方公里，百度百科记为31.75平方千米，两者相差较大，本条目列出两个数字。[3][4][1]
大埕湾的海岸线全长7.8公里，湾内有浅海滩涂。湾形似半月，博雅地名网称其绵延36华里，又称「月亮湾」。[4][3] 气候上，百度百科记为亚热带季风气候，博雅地名网则称亚热带海洋气候。[1][4]

百度百科载，截至2019年末，大埕镇户籍人口为34696人。[1] 博雅地名网引第七次全国人口普查结果，称大埕镇人口为2.57万人，在饶平县各乡镇街道中居第13位。[3]

2019年，全镇有工业企业11个，营业面积超过50平方米的综合商店或超市17个。[1] 2011年的财政数据是：镇本级财政收入220万元，国地税上缴520万元。[1]
耕地以沙壤土为主，适合粮食生产，番薯产量尤为突出，亩产高达4000公斤；沙埔地宜种花生、西瓜、芦笋、中药材，是这些作物的产区。海域方面，大埕的海水鱼苗培殖技术与配套设备位居全省前列，海中另产西施舌等贝类，渔民兼营深海捕捞。[4]

鸿程大庙又名大埕三山国王庙，坐落于程南村。博雅地名网说，它建于宋代，1852年（清咸丰二年）增建，1988年又修复过。[3][5] 百度百科称该庙为饶平县重点文物保护单位，建筑面积约700平方米，为三进式明清风格，正殿供奉三山国王，后殿设夫人神位。庙内存有明代壁画、诗文和匾额，明代正德年间重建后增建了厅堂。[5]
百度百科记，南宋祥兴元年（1278年），当地民众曾在此庙集结抗元。清初，庙中香火传入台湾，台湾云林大埤乡的三山国王庙即由它分灵而立。[5]
大埕湾滨海旅游区在镇南，东端接福建诏安县宫口头，西端至饶平县鸡笼角。[3] 博雅地名网又列出云峰院、大幕山、金海滩与鸿程大庙同为游览胜地。[4]
