钱东镇位于广东省潮州市饶平县西部，东面与县城所在的黄冈镇相邻，西面与汕头市澄海区、潮州市湘桥区交界，南面接壤汫洲镇。全镇下辖3个社区和25个行政村，人口在全县各镇中居第二位。工业门类较多，盐焗鸡是镇里的特色支柱产业，境内还有绿岛旅游山庄等景点。[1][2][3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域北部和西北部是山地丘陵，东南部是黄冈河冲积而成的平地，地势西高东低。境内最高的山是大北山，海拔672.2米。[4]

镇域面积有两种记载：博雅地名网称约136平方公里，百度百科称版图总面积为122.66平方千米，两者均未注明统计年份。[3][1]

这里是南亚热带季风气候，气温常年平均22℃，多年平均降水量2341毫米，平均相对湿度81%。[4]

镇内的主要溪渠有灰寨改溪以及一支渠、二支渠、三支渠。灰寨改溪建成于上世纪六十年代，一支渠和二支渠从汕汾高速公路以北的总干渠分出，其余溪渠注入拓林湾的青山棣。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

宋末这一带还是浅海，海港直通镇域腹地，此后浙江、福建、广东等地的汉族居民陆续迁入，分散定居。紫云一带的居民大多同姓。[5]

1477年（明成化十三年）饶平县设县，此地属信宁都陈塘堡，清代沿袭明朝的设置不变。镇名钱东，取义于它位于陈塘堡（钱塘）东面的位置。[5][2]

民国十七年（1928年）设钱东区。1951年8月，钱东成为饶平县的第七区。1956年底撤区并乡，改称钱东乡；1958年9月成立钱东公社；1983年11月恢复为钱东区；1986年11月改为钱东镇。[5]

1986年前后，各社区和行政村陆续设立居委会或村委会，1990年多数改称管理区或街道管理办事处，1999年再分别设立居委会或村委会，沿用至今。[17]

人口与民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查结果显示，钱东镇人口为8.09万人，占全县人口的9.90%，在全县各镇中居第二位。[3][6] 百度百科载2017年全镇人口为87224人。[1]

居民绝大多数为汉族，少数民族人口不多，分散居住在各村，其中壮族最多，且以婚迁入镇的女性为主。[4]

经济[edit]

2017年，规模以上工业产值为33.4亿元，增幅7.9%；全镇工业产值为41.11亿元，增幅10%。[1]

工业门类有20多个，常见的有玩具、医药、毛织、彩印、陶瓷、铜业等。[4]

鸡肉加工发展迅速，盐焗鸡的销量占全国八成，已形成镇里的特色支柱产业。[4]

农作物盛产水稻、番薯、花生、大豆，果树和茶叶有荔枝、龙眼、生柑、香蕉和乌龙茶。[4]

文化[edit]

民俗与手工艺方面，镇里有「饶平彩青艺术」「饶平布马舞」「黄冈纱灯」「纸扎工艺」「饶平全银首饰工艺」和「饶平嵌瓷工艺」。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

潮州绿岛旅游山庄位于万山红农场，林地覆盖率达95%，博雅地名网称其占地3000多亩，为「国家4A级旅游景区」，并列入潮州新八景。[7][8]

万山红南国生态度假村在万山红农场，2001年10月创建，景区总面积1500多亩，属粤东乡村旅游的景区之一。[16]

林姜寺在大甲山脚的浮岗上，寺院背靠群峰，山下为灰寨村。该寺始建于宋淳熙四年（1177年），明成化十五年（1479年）全面重建，1988年10月列为饶平县文物保护单位。[9][10][18]

望海岭寺坐落在饶钱公路北段约5公里的望海岭上，因可以远眺南海而得名。寺创于明朝，1988年重建，寺中供奉三尊观音菩萨像。[11][12]

陈塘桥位于钱塘村东北面，始建于宋淳佑六年（1246年），潮州府知州陈圭出资修建，它处在古时潮州通往福建的官道上。桥为6墩5孔梁式石板桥，长28米，宽1.6米，在全县现存桥梁中年代最久。2016年11月11日，饶平县把它列为县级文物保护单位。[13]

江夏黄公墓位于径南村西南面的山坡上，建于宋宣和元年（1119年），墓碑刻有「江夏黄公之墓」字样。2011年4月，饶平县把它列为县级文物保护单位。[15]

张夔夫妇合葬墓位于径南村下河自然村的莲花山北麓，建于宋代，墓碑刻有「宋赐进士，知新州事张先生夔」字样。2011年4月，同样由饶平县列为县级文物保护单位。[7]

沈厝文化公园位于沈厝村，面积约4万平方米，2016年2月落成。2019年起以廉政文化为主题，园内新设廉道、廉壁等教育载体。[14]

著名人物[edit]

博雅地名网列出的钱东镇相关名人有余既成（?～1911）、余登仁（1903～1936），二人均为革命烈士，另有张竞生（1888～1970）。[3]

2014年7月，住房城乡建设部等七部委把钱东镇确定为「全国重点镇」。[3]

2019年7月，钱东镇列入「2019年全国农业产业强镇」建设名单。[3]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，「2020年淘宝镇」「2021年淘宝镇」「2022年淘宝镇」名单相继发布，钱东镇均列名其中。[3]

2023年8月，「首批国家农业产业强镇」名单由农业农村部与财政部公布，钱东镇以鸡产业入选。[3]

2026年5月，钱东镇入选「广东省第一批开展现代化建设的中心镇」名单。[3]

此外，百度百科载钱东镇曾获「中国盐焗鸡之乡」「广东省卫生先进镇」「广东省中心镇」「广东省旅游名镇」等称号，未注明授予年份。[1]
