下广村位于广东省潮州市饶平县樟溪镇，与英粉、上广、下院、烈火等村相邻。[1]明嘉靖年间，蔡姓族人自福建漳浦迁来定居，并建起一座圆形土楼，名为「蔡厝寨」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年，下广设下广乡；1958年改称下广大队；1983年又为下广乡。1986年设立村委会，1990年改为管理区，1999年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]

据维基百科，蔡氏先祖迁来后子孙繁衍，人口兴旺之时建成了圆形土楼蔡厝寨；据维基百科所载，蔡姓在此已延续29代。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予该村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2026年3月，该村被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1]
