下院村是广东省潮州市饶平县樟溪镇辖下的行政村，与英粉、径北、下广等村相邻。[1]村名与开基的历史，博雅地名网与维基百科所记并不一致，下文并列两说。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网称，清乾隆年间（1735—1795年），黄冈柑园的林氏迁来定居，村子由此改名下院。[1]维基百科则记作清康熙年间（1662—1722年），陈姓先祖自福建泉州迁来建村，其后林姓也到此定居；村子最初建在山上，因山上用水不便，才搬到山下。[2]两说在开基的姓氏与年代上并不相同。

1951年，下院划入新溪乡，隶属钱东区。1958年它与英粉、上广、下广合为新溪大队，归樟溪公社。1965年单设下院大队，1983年改为下院乡。1986年设村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予该村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。2026年1月，该村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
