长彬村是新圩镇的中心区村，博雅地名网将其城乡分类列为镇中心区。村内有县级文物保护单位陈吊王庙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地隶浮山区南四乡。新中国成立后，1951年成立长彬乡，归第五区管辖；1958年改为长彬大队，归浮山公社。1983年复为长彬乡，1986年改为长彬村委会，1990年划为长彬管理区，1999年定为长彬村委会，沿用至今。[1]

文化遗存[edit]

陈吊王庙即长彬古庙，俗称“陈吊王庙”，位于本村。庙宇始建于明代初期，此后较早的修葺在道光十一年（1831）与光绪九年（1883），近代则在1941年和1989年。庙为坐北朝南、两进并带拜亭的格局，明洪武年间村民在此祭祀抗元英雄陈吊王，庙名因而又称陈吊王庙。[2][3]

1993年2月，饶平县将此庙定为县级文物保护单位，名称为「陈吊王庙」。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]

2024年4月，该村获列入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村创建对象。2022年8月，该村被确定为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。2020年8月，该村以青梅入选首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]
