历史沿革[edit]

1951年，该地归浮山区冯田乡管辖；1958年划入浮山公社冯田大队，1961年改称新圩公社霞光大队。1983年设霞光乡，隶新圩区；1986年起以村委会形式管理，1990年改设霞光管理区，1999年又设霞光村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年3月，该村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]

2019年9月，该村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
