大榕铺村依山傍水，明万历年间建村，因村中古榕树得名。[1]

村西面的张竞生故居为县级文物保护单位，张竞生是本村人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

大榕铺一带在1951年设乡，归饶平第四区管辖；1958年变为大队，划归浮山公社；1983年又以乡的名义归浮滨区。[3]

1986年为大榕铺村委会，1990年为管理区，此后再设村委会，沿用至今。[3]

故居在1933年建造，土改后于1952年遭毁，直到2004年才又重建。[2]

荣誉[edit]

第一批国家森林乡村名单在2019年12月公布，本村位列其中。[3]

2026年3月，该村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[3]
