历史沿革[edit]
明代初年此地始称仙埔，原居谢、林、刘等九姓。[1]
1951年为新埔乡，1958年组成大队，1986年设村委会，1990年改为管理区，1999年又设村委会。[2]
巫姓先从福建宁化石壁迁到新丰镇，后来才到本村；胡姓祖籍漳州，明初迁入，其后裔有迁往台湾桃园、彰化的支系。据户籍数据，巫、胡两姓占总人口97.6%。[1]
荣誉[edit]
产业上，茶叶种植居首，水稻与荔枝也有种植，近年又养起了狮头鹅。[1]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[2]
