地理环境[edit]

外宫村位于新塘镇西部，距镇政府约3公里，毗邻凤凰镇，属凤凰山区域的生态保护范围 [3]。耕地538亩，其中水田280亩、旱园258亩，另有山地1120亩 [3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1951年此地归新塘乡；1958年属饶丰大队；1960年分出，另立外宫大队；1983年改设外宫乡；1986年设立外宫村委会，1990年为外宫管理区，1999年村委会复设 [1][2]。百度百科所载村委会设立的年份为2000年 [3]。

1948年，该村曾是梅峰游击根据地的组成部分，民兵配合武工队开展革命活动 [3]。

村里的收入主要来自水稻、水果与茶树 [3]。2021年9月，外宫村入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产品为茶叶 [1]。
