建饶镇是广东省潮州市饶平县下辖的镇，位于县境北部山区。东边与福建省诏安县的秀篆、霞葛两镇接壤，西面毗邻新丰镇，南面连着汤溪镇，北面与饶洋镇相接。全镇面积约73.2平方公里，辖15个行政村。[1]

镇名取自上饶的“饶”字，并含新建之意。1998年11月撤乡建镇，此后一直以镇的建制存在。[1]

2021年6月公布的第七次全国人口普查结果显示，全镇人口为1.15万人，在饶平县各街道乡镇中排第20位。[1]

2023年10月，建饶镇被评定为「2023年广东省森林城镇」；2026年3月，建饶镇被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

往前追溯，这片地方在清代归饶平县弦歌都东洋堡管辖。1948年（民国三十七年），它仍在附城区的东北乡之列。1951年起成为饶平县第三区的一部分；到1956年，改归三饶区管辖，区内设溁康乡。[1]

1958年9月，此地被并入上饶公社；1962年6月，又从上饶公社中分出，单独组成建饶公社。1983年11月，公社改建为建饶区；1986年11月，区又改称建饶乡；直到1998年11月，才撤乡建镇。[1]

经济[edit]

全镇耕地面积为0.25万亩。这里出产水稻与地瓜，也种植白叶单丛茶，并产青竹梅、柿子、荔枝等果品。[1]

境内水能资源较好，设有13座小型水电站，装机总容量为2950千瓦。已探明可开发的矿产中，以高岭土最为突出，储量丰富，质地优良。[1]
