扬康村是新丰镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类为镇乡结合区，村名经过一次改动。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历有两段。原称洋坑，因地上多坑洞、泉水不断，又有湖洋水田，故得此名。清乾隆年间，村中有人任阳山县令，嫌「洋坑」不雅，遂改称扬康。[1]

据博雅地名网，明朝洪武十五年（1382），刘姓人从海阳县溪口迁来，开始在此立村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，扬康村入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]

2020年12月，扬康村列入「2020年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
