茂芝社区是上饶镇下辖的社区，属镇乡结合区。1927年朱德率南昌起义军在茂芝召开军事决策会议，会址即为社区内的全德学校。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年后这里称茂芝乡，属上饶区；1958年改为茂芝大队，1983年又称茂芝乡；1986年改设茂芝居委会，1990年为茂芝街道管理办事处，1999年重新设立茂芝居委会，沿用至今。[1]

2026年3月，茂芝社区入选广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

这一年的10月5日，朱德带领南昌起义部队抵达茂芝，指挥部设在全德学校。该校原名龙冈书室，民国初年改称全德学校，现为广东省文物保护单位。[2]

同年10月7日，茂芝会议在全德学校召开，会议确定西进湘南的方向，起义军此后经柏嵩关出境，1928年4月在井冈山与秋收起义部队会师。[3][4]
