河南社区位于饶平县黄冈镇，因地处黄冈河下游之南而得名。[1]社区内有瑞光台等古迹。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原为农业社：1956年成立初级社，1977年于黄冈河下游之南另建新村，取名河南大队；1981年又建起居委会办公楼。[1]1983年设河南办事处，1986年改为河南居委会，1990年为河南街道管理办事处，1999年重设河南居委会。[1]
