古板头村属潮安区枫溪镇，又称橄榄头，辖谢厝、翁厝、上林、下林四个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村始建于宋代，村中有古老的橄榄树，因此得名橄榄头村。明代以后，村中出现古板桥，名称与橄榄头音近，遂以桥名村。[1]

翁厝建于明洪武二十五年（1392年）。早先这里有周、高、翁、陈四姓，后来周、高、陈三姓迁出，现只剩翁姓。[1]

1958年，以片名设立古板头大队；1999年起称古板头村民委员会。[3]

人口民族[edit]

清末村中尚武，出过武举2人、秀才18人。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

2020年9月，古板头村列入阿里研究院公布的2020年淘宝村名单；2021年10月、2022年10月也两次入选淘宝村名单。[1]
