历史沿革[edit]
湖厦村西面与古巷镇枫洋乡相邻，原属长美大队，1983年建村，沿用今名。[1]
明末（约1600年），先民苏北温自凤塘鹤陇迁来创村。此地低洼，常遭西山溪水泛滥，田野一片水茫茫，似湖一般，故名湖厦。[1]
1958年此地并入长美大队；1976年又改用湖下大队之名；1999年改设湖厦村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
据百度百科，自20世纪80年代起，村里逐渐以卫生洁具生产见长，形成专业生产村，周边也随之发展出卫浴产业带。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2026年3月，湖厦村被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1]
