四望坪村位于赤凤镇政府驻地东北约9.3千米的山区，属潮安区，由四望坪、三洲寮两个自然村组成，北与丰顺县东阳乡接壤。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名旧称「思茅坪」，后改作「斯文坪」。因地势高、四望可见，又与原名读音相近，群众满意，于是定名四望坪。[1]
1796至1820年的嘉庆年间，何姓人家从梅县雁洋迁来立村。[1]
据百度百科，1927年起此处成为中国共产党在潮安北部山区进行武装斗争的一个据点，李木昌等革命烈士便出自这里。[2]
1930年7月，此地成立登荣区红色政权。[1]
1958年公社化，以主村命名「四望坪大队」，1999年改称四望坪村民委员会。[1]
自然与经济[edit]
耕地542亩，以水稻为主；山地9548亩，主种黄竹和茶。有小学1所，村民饮用山泉水，1982年开辟简易公路通往镇政府。[1]
荣誉[edit]
四望坪村在2019年12月被评为「国家森林乡村」，入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1][2]
四望坪村于2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
