白莲村位于韩江东岸，属潮安区赤凤镇，由白莲、土头两个自然村组成，镇政府驻地西北约6.3千米处。[1]

村人口562人，村内有清代古建筑顺德居。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆年间建乡。村原名「割布」，因村北地形像「美女穿梭」而得名。后因「布被割」之义不吉利，改称「美女织白莲」，故名白莲。[1]

1958年命名「白莲大队」，1999年改称白莲村民委员会。[1]

自然与经济[edit]

耕地249亩，主种水稻；山地以橄榄、松树和黄竹为主。村中种橄榄的历史可追溯到清朝中期，所产果实数量多、品质佳。[1]

一段约1.5千米长的堤围护着村子，另有电排灌站一处；村中设小学一所，电灯照明已普及。离村东南约1千米处有一处宋代古窑遗址，潭赤公路从村前穿过。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

顺德居位于白莲村，是清代古建筑。维基百科称它2006年4月公布为潮安区文物保护单位。[2]

荣誉[edit]

白莲村在2019年12月入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。白莲村于2020年12月获「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]

2019年9月，白莲村被列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
